Chrysina victorina is a dazzling scarab beetle native to Central America, particularly Mexico. Its body shines with a brilliant metallic green or gold sheen, sometimes with subtle rainbow reflections. Adults feed on foliage, especially of trees in mountain forests, while their larvae develop underground on decaying plant matter. Renowned for its mirror-like iridescence, this beetle is a prized jewel among the “golden scarabs” and a striking example of natural metallic coloration. Expertly preserved in a 5“ x 5“ frame, it’s ready for immediate display.
