Quesada gigas, also known as the chichara grande, coyoyo, or coyuyo, is a widely-distributed species of large cicada found throughout North, Central, and South America. As one of the two species in the Quesada genus, it holds the title of being the most geographically diverse cicada in the Western Hemisphere. Formerly known as Tympanoterpes giga, this species is paired with a background photo taken by Beth Watson at Catacombes de Paris in Paris, France. This particular specimen is preserved in a 6"x6" frame.
