Chrysochroa castelnaudi is a species of jewel beetle known for its striking, iridescent coloration. Native to Southeast Asia, this beetle displays vibrant hues of green, blue, and sometimes red on its exoskeleton, making it highly prized by collectors. Like other jewel beetles, it has a hard, metallic body and is typically found on trees and flowers, where it feeds on plant material. The brilliant colors of Chrysochroa castelnaudi serve both as a deterrent to predators and as a means of attracting mates.
This specimen is encased in a 5“ x 5“ frame.
