Creobroter gemmatus is a small and colorful praying mantis from South and Southeast Asia, belonging to the family Mantidae. Its body is patterned with bright green, yellow, and white, and the wings display striking eye-like spots used to startle predators. Males are slimmer and more agile, while females are larger and sturdier. It feeds on small insects, using its rapid strike to capture prey, and its leaflike camouflage helps it blend seamlessly into vegetation. Admired for its vivid markings and defensive displays, this mantis is a favorite among insect enthusiasts. This male specimen is expertly preserved in a 5”x5” frame.
