This stunning specimen is the Megaloxantha bicolor, a magnificent metallic jewel beetle measuring 3 inches in length. Native to India, Southeast Asia, and the Philippines, this species boasts a vibrant body of metallic green, blue, or reddish hues and two striking yellow or whitish bands on its delicate wings. During warm, dry days, adults can be seen actively exploring their surroundings, while their larvae burrow deep within trees, feasting on the precious wood. This one-of-a-kind specimen has been masterfully preserved and is elegantly showcased in a 9" x 9" frame.
