Discovered in Indonesia, this genus of beetle, known as Dulticola or Platerodrilus, belongs to the Lycidae family. Interestingly, female specimens maintain their larval form while males mature into typical beetles. They can be found on the rainforest floor, feeding on decaying wood, fungi, and algae slime. This particular specimen is beautifully preserved in a 5" x 5" frame.
