This particular species, paired with a beautifully decoupaged gopher mandible, is referred to as the swallowtail butterfly, or more specifically, the Papilio machaon. It serves as the defining species for the Papilio genus and is found throughout the Palearctic region and North America. The specimen is carefully preserved and presented in a 5”x5” frame for display.
