The Red-spotted Purple Butterfly, scientifically known as Limenitis arthemis and alternatively named the White Admiral, is a butterfly species native to North America. Within the cosmopolitan genus Limenitis, it is recognized for its evolution of mimicry and has been the subject of much scientific study. This particular specimen is encased within a 6" x 6" frame.
