The Red-spotted Purple Butterfly, known by its scientific name Limenitis arthemis and referred to as the White Admiral, is a species of butterfly endemic to North America. As a member of the diverse genus Limenitis, it is notable for its development of mimicry and has been extensively studied by scientists.
