The Statira Sulphur (Aphrissa statira) is a yellow butterfly that can be found in the southern regions of the United States and South America, particularly in Florida, Texas, and surrounding areas. Male specimens feature a vibrant yellow color with lighter edges, while females exhibit an array of colors such as yellow, cream, black spots, and borders. These butterflies predominantly feed on plants from the pea family during their caterpillar stage, and rely on nectar from red and orange flowers as adults. This specimen is presented in a 5" x 5" display case.
