There are over 80 species of Morpho butterflies, including the Neotropical Morpho adonis. These butterflies are primarily found in South America, with some species also found in parts of Mexico and Central America. The name "morpho" is believed to come from the observed shape-changing of these butterflies while in flight. This particular specimen is beautifully preserved and displayed in a 6"x6" frame.
