The Acherontia atropos, also known as Deaths Head Hawk Moth, is a native species commonly found in southern Europe and throughout most of Africa. Though often associated with negative superstitions, these hawkmoths are harmless and pose only minor threats to beehives and crops. This particular specimen is beautifully preserved and displayed in a 9"x9" frame.
