Acherontia atropos, also known as the African death's-head hawkmoth, is one of three species in the Acherontia genus, named after its skull-like pattern on the thorax. It is native to southern Europe and Africa and often linked to superstitions, but poses little threat, causing only minor disruptions to beehives and crops. This preserved specimen, displayed in a compact 6"x6" frame, is a popular addition to any collection.
