The Modest Sphinx Moth (Pachysphinx modesta), also known as the poplar sphinx, belongs to the family Sphingidae. It has been observed in the southern United States and throughout Canada, ranging from coast to coast. This particular specimen has been preserved in a 6” x 6” frame.
