Archaeoprepona demophon or the one-spotted prepona, banded king shoemaker, or demophon shoemaker, belongs to the Nymphalidae family. It can be commonly found in Mexico, Central America, the West Indies, and parts of northern South America. Typically, Archaeoprepona demophon can be found in the edges of forest canopy and subcanopy. One example of this species is currently encased in a 9” x 9” frame.
