Native to the northern parts of South America, the 'Giant Brown Cricket', Tropidacris dux is actually just a gigantic grasshopper. T. dux is the largest of the Tropidacris genus. With it's huge wingspan, it has been mistaken by hunters as birds. T. dux are listed as pests of banana, citrus, and mango in many countries
The specimen is encased in a 9“ x 9“ frame.
