The plain tiger, scientifically known as Danaus chrysippus, is a butterfly species found in Asia, Australia, and Africa. It is believed to be one of the earliest butterflies depicted in art, with a 3500-year-old Egyptian fresco in Luxor featuring the oldest known illustration of this species. This specific specimen is encased in a 6" x 6" frame.
