Heterometrus spinifer, also known as the giant forest scorpion, giant blue scorpion, or Malaysian black scorpion, can be found in various countries across Southeast Asia, such as Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Its venom can cause intense pain, visual impairments, and mild numbness, but is rarely fatal to humans. These scorpions are known to be defensive and easily startled, using their large pincers to attack rather than their tails. The specimen is displayed within a 9"x9" frame.
