Callopistus castelnaudi is a rare and vividly marked flower beetle from Madagascar in the scarab family (Scarabaeidae). It is best known for its bold contrast of black and bright red or orange coloration, giving it a striking, almost jewel-like appearance. Adults feed on fruit, sap, and flowers, while their larvae develop in rotting wood. With its dramatic colors and limited range, this beetle is highly sought after by collectors and stands out as one of Madagascar’s most eye-catching scarabs.
