Chrysochroa castelnaudi, a species of jewel beetle native to Southeast Asia, boasts a vivid, shimmering coloration ranging from green to blue, and sometimes even red. Found on trees and flowers, this beetle possesses a metallic body and primarily feeds on plant material. Its vibrant colors serve as both a defense mechanism against predators and a physical attraction to potential mates. The specimen is displayed in a 5“ x 5“ frame.
