The Papilio palamedes, also known as the Palamedes swallowtail or laurel swallowtail, is a butterfly native to North America and belongs to the Papilionidae family. It can typically be found in various habitats, including cypress and coastal swamplands, wet riparian forests, bay forests, and savannas, primarily in the southeastern United States and northeastern Mexico. This specimen is carefully displayed in an encasing measuring 9" x 9".
