This preserved specimen of the Actias luna, also known as the American moon moth, belongs to the Nearctic species within the Saturniidae family, more specifically the Saturniinae subfamily. As a member of the giant silk moth group, these moths typically have a short lifespan of less than 10 days as adults. This particular specimen is showcased in a 6”x6” frame.
