The Rainbow Wood Boring Jewel Beetle, also known as the Metallic Wood-Boring Beetle, belongs to the family Buprestidae and is distinguished by its glossy, iridescent, and vibrant appearance, often resembling a rainbow. While they aid in the decomposition of dead wood, they can also cause harm to living trees. This colorful example is professionally preserved in a 5”x5” frame.
