The Statira Sulphur (Aphrissa statira) is a medium-sized yellow butterfly that inhabits the southern U.S., specifically Florida and Texas, as well as South America. Males display a bright yellow color with lighter edges, while females have a diverse range of colors, including yellow, cream, black spots and borders. The caterpillars of these butterflies mainly consume plants from the pea family, while adults prefer nectar from red and orange flowers. The specimen is framed in a 5" x 5" case.
