The Trilobite Beetle, also known as Dulticola, or Platerodrilus, is a genus of beetle from the Lycidae family. This specific specimen is a female adult, which retains its larval form. Unlike female counterparts, adult males resemble more traditional beetles. These beetles can be found on the rainforest floor in Indonesia and typically feed on decomposing wood, fungi, and algae slime. The specimen is preserved in a 5" x 5" frame.
