Polyura pyrrhus is a large species of butterfly belonging to the Nymphalidae family. It is typically found in the Australasian region, including New Guinea, Australia, and Timor. This butterfly boasts a wingspan of approximately 75-85 mm and is famous for its fast flight and vibrant coloration. Its larvae primarily consume legumes and kurrajong plants, while the species can be found inhabiting various environments, especially in northern and eastern Australia. The specimen is displayed in a 6“ x 6“ frame.
